About the Role

We are seeking aConsultantto join our growingIndirect Tax team. The Indirect Tax practice hasestablisheditself as a major player within Queenslands marketplaceadvisingleading public and private sector organisations across a diverse industry base.

This is a unique opportunity that will allow you to grow your skills in various areas of indirect tax like goods and services tax (GST) fuel tax credits stamp duty landtaxand payroll tax. You will be part of a positive and supportive culture where teamwork is key and strong working relationships are built on mutual respect.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop your technicalexpertiseacross a variety of indirect tax matters

  • Support the delivery of advice on complex and emerging indirect tax issues for a prestigious client base including localmultinationaland ASXlisted organisations

  • Apply your legal and research skills to advise on complex structures deals and commercial activities

  • Develop your client management skills through attending meetings and dealing directly with client queries

  • Grow professionally including expansion of legal skills (research consulting and problem solving) through analysis and application of legislation and case law

  • Work collaboratively with a talented team committed to delivering excellent outcomes for clients

  • Develop meaningful professional connections and expand your network through this role creating valuable opportunities for your career growth and advancement

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in tax or business services within professional services a law firm or the government (Australian Taxation Office or a state revenue office)

  • Degree in Law or a dual degree with Law and Business/Commerce

  • You will be passionate about improving your technicalexpertiseand applying it commercially

  • Strong written communication skills and confidence drafting clear professional documents

  • Efficient time management and a collaborative team-based working style
