Job Descripiton:
The Facility Operations Manager leads a team who oversees the safety and operational readiness of L3Harris Camdens multibuilding manufacturing lab and office complex. This role ensures that all facilities including production areas test operations warehouses grounds interior spaces manufacturing and support equipment are properly maintained to support L3Harris Camdens highvolume manufacturing operations.
Essential Functions:
- Leads directs and reviews the work of direct report(s) who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Communicates with teams contractors and service vendors to explain and influence changes to policies practices or approaches.
- Makes significant improvements in processes systems or products.
- Establishes short-term operational plans with measurable contribution to function or business area results.
- Frequent walking of manufacturing floors.
- Regular bending reaching climbing and lifting.
- Has hiring firing promotion and compensation authority within own organization in accordance with management review and approval.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years prior related leadership experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related leadership lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related leadership experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience supporting high volume manufacturing facilities equipment controls and related automation.
- Leadership experience in facility operations building maintenance or facility services supervision; experience leading teams across multiple buildings in an industrial or manufacturing environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- Knowledge of general facility maintenance practices preventative maintenance and building systems and industrial safety standards.
