Laboratory Operations Specialist

We are seeking an Operations Specialist to provide essential operational support to the US Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics team. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth coordination across scientific teams global sites and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day operational support within the US DMPK Department.
• Collaborate with on-site scientific teams European colleagues and external suppliers such as CROs to ensure timely and efficient processing of requests.
  • Includes: processing of requests study planning result integration and resolving issues
• Support the implementation of tools (e.g. Benchling) and processes that enhance team communication and operational efficiency.
• Track training assignments and ensure compliance with internal requirements.
• Execute a variety of operational tasks including:
  • Shipping and receiving of samples
  • Setting up purchase orders managing purchasing and invoicing tracking spend and assisting with budget documentation
  • Ensuring timely receipt and review of data and input into digital platforms
  • Drafting memos and non-scientific communications

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree
• 2 years of experience in operations support within the biotechnology pharmaceutical or CRO industries
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Demonstrated proactivity and ability to follow tasks through to completion
• Skilled at managing multiple priorities and building strong cross-functional relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Excel Word)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship

• Experience managing projects in a global matrix/team environment
• Ability to identify operational issues assess risks and contribute to resolution and mitigation strategies
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and best practices
• Quick to learn new systems and processes with a focus on continuous improvement
• Comfortable working under tight timelines and in evolving organizational environments
• Foundational knowledge of data structures 
• Experience using Benchling GxP

What to Expect in the Hiring Process: 

• 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter
• 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
• 60 Minute Onsite Meeting with the Team 

Additional Details: 

This is a full-time onsite position based on a first-shift schedule (Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) with overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Cambridge MA are strongly encouraged to apply.
