Position Overview

TheCluster Fleet Manager Europe is responsible for managing and supporting Procurement Fleet Operations Policy and Program Design and Implementation in the EMEA region. Delivers high-quality procurement and operations performance and capabilities as well as excellent project management as part of company global procurement strategy. This role embodies a one team way of working within the Global Supplier Management Group (GSMG) organization.

TheCluster Fleet Manager Europe interfaces with key internal and external stakeholders to align the procurement strategy with key business requirements in EMEA.

The candidate of this position has demonstrated leadership within procurement project management and proficiency in the strategic procurement processes and supplier relationship management of global/regional/local suppliers. This position has the complexity of driving procurement and fleet operations strategies breakthrough business solutions that require strong stakeholder management and sponsorship.

This position will ensure that Procurement has detailed understanding of the local regional and/or global supply market business practices laws regulations and policies and will drive the application of world class procurement and operations practices to ensure that sustainable value is created for the business and company customers.

TheCluster Fleet Manager Europe provides a state-of-the-art PO management process that ensure business continuity financial and process compliance. Continuously seeking for optimization and replicate those practices as standards in the region.

TheCluster Fleet Manager Europe will partner closely with Global Supplier Management Group (GSMG) Centralized Function to deliver end-to-end Sourcing Excellence Process.

TheCluster Fleet Manager Europe is responsible for engaging with business stakeholders and aligning their strategy with procurement objectives & addition this role is responsible and accountable for coordinating internal activities across three stakeholder groups: Procurement Business Partners and Suppliers.

Primary activities and Key Responsibilities

  • Geographical responsibility: EMEA countries (20 countries)

  • Financial Responsibility: 60 million EUR p.a. fleet spend coverage (the spend fluctuates due to the nature of our company car fleet volume in Europe that follows the change dynamics of our Sales Force)

  • Exposure: direct to country leadership teams (MD HR Payroll C&B Finance GWES etc) local fleet council members drivers vendors (local key accounts and regional/global key accounts). Indirect exposure to company regional and global Procurement GWES HR C&B Payroll Finance leadership

  • Primary Activities (not exhaustive):

    • Participation in program design and implementation related to the End-To-End Governance model in EMEA

    • Continuous improvement of the program standardization wherever the initial setup includes suboptimal elements

    • Internal and external stakeholder management in all markets under their responsibility

    • Responsible for setting up preparing the Fleet Council meetings minuting those and follow up on the agreed actions and next steps

    • Responsible for the end-to-end PO process and its compliance for any AP related escalations through the defined channels

    • Responsible for end-to-end procurement and operations governance in all those countries where the model is implemented

    • Involving as necessary the SD & PM team wherever needed and supporting the CAPA efforts

    • Continuously seek for productivity optimization ideas sources in the countries they are responsible for. Creating use cases about the good examples replicate these optimization projects in EMEA

    • The responsibilities may be extended to any other activities related to the End-to-End Fleet Governance Model design implementation and daily management

Education Background & Experience

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree specialized in Project management Finance Economy is a plus

  • Fluent English is a must any other language is a plus

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Procurement/Operations and Project management. Any Fleet category management related experience is a plus

  • Experience with management of Fleet Leasing and/or Fleet Management Service providers are a plus

  • Proven experience in Stakeholder management influencing skills in matrix organization

  • Vivid interest curiosity in fleet related market innovations trends solutions

  • Challenge the status quo provide continuous replicable improvement

  • Understanding of the basic financials and market intelligence from the key (sub)categories of spend

  • Ability to effectively navigate in a global matrix organization environment

  • Ariba Procurement PO module active knowledge (raising updating managing POs)
