Job Title: Financial Accounting Manager
Department: Finance
Location: Prague Czech Republic
Reporting to: Finance Manager CZHUSK

Financial Accounting Manager
Purpose: As a Financial Accounting Manager you will be fully responsible for financial and tax accounting of the Czech entity. You will ensure adherence to IFRS Czech GAAP and Czech tax laws. This senior position requires a hands-on expert who combines technical skills with strong autonomy and ownership.
You will serve as the key accounting and tax expert lead statutory reporting and audits and actively drive process improvements and automation across finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct financial and tax accounting in accordance with IFRS Czech GAAP and local legislation
- Prepare and review complex accounting entries and judgments
- Act as the main contact for statutory audits annual financial statements and authorities
- Support CIT calculations deferred tax and cooperation with tax advisors
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close
- Analyze financial data challenge assumptions and support business decisions
- Collaborate with GBS and internal collaborators to ensure quality and efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements simplifications and automation solutions
- Support the Finance Manager and act as a trusted deputy
Requirements:
- Min. 8 years of experience in finance accounting audit or controlling
- Strong hands-on accounting expertise including IFRS and complex transactions
- Strong understanding of Czech GAAP and local legislation
- Experience with statutory audits and financial reporting
- Exposure to Czech Corporate Income Tax
- Strong Excel skills; SAP experience required
- Proficient Czech and English is mandatory
- Autonomous proactive detailed and confident professional
- Ability to think critically challenge constructively and deliver solutions
