Position Summary:
- Directorと連携し政策関連の戦略目標および成果に基づくアクションプランを策定する
- IMATチームならびに部門横断チームと協働し成果の創出を実現する
- 現行および将来の市場におけるJ&J IMに関連する政策の策定解釈実装に関して薬価薬事規制CEA(Japan HTA)患者アクセスに関する課題について社内外のステークホルダーと主体的に連携して取り組む
- 対象となるステークホルダーを深く理解したうえでのナラティブと資料を日本語英語の両方で作成する
- アジア太平洋地域およびグローバルのチーム関係者と緊密に連携し施策の価値とインパクトを最大化する
- 業界団体を含む社外ステークホルダーとの協働を通じてGA&P領域におけるJ&J IMのプレゼンスおよび信頼性/評判を向上させる
Qualifications:

Overview of Role:
The Government Affairs & Policy (GA&P) function plays a pivotal role in shaping external environments to support innovation and improve patient access. This includes proactive engagement with policymakers regulatory bodies and industry associations. The function must navigate wide-ranging cost containment measures geopolitical dynamics and rapid policy shifts that demand agile and forward-looking strategies.
This Associate Director/Senior Manager position will work for delivering the policy shaping strategy and actions for Japan Innovative Medicine especially to make sure and improve access of J&J IM innovative medicines including new modality to Japanese patients. The position will also lead selected TAs relevant policy analysis as well as strategy development and execution.
The role requires a strong track record in healthcare Government Affairs and Policy related work in such organizations as pharmaceutical industry government or consultants etc. The role also requires a high level of communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Position Summary:
- Work with the Director to develop policy-related strategies goals and outcome-based action plans.
- Work with IMAT team as well as cross-functional team to deliver the outcome.
- Proactively work with both internal and external stakeholders on pricing regulatory CEA and patient access matters from policy development interpretation and implementation that are relevant to J&J IM in the current and future market.
- Develop materials with the deep understanding of the narrative and target stakeholders in both Japanese and English.
- Work closely with the Asia Pacific reginal and global teams and individuals to maximize the value and impact on actions.
- Enhance J&J IM presence and reputation in GA&P area through collaboration with external stakeholders including industry associations.
Qualifications:
The position requires an experienced expert with deep knowledge of healthcare industry and proven ability in establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The individual must have a proven track record of good performance and ability to manage project teams. 10 years of relevant work experience especially in healthcare-related industries is preferred.
The leader must:
- Have sufficient level of presence and interpersonal skills excellent influencing skills an established level of credibility.
- Be highly articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and sufficient capability in verbal communication writing formulating policy related document in English.
- Have ability to anticipate emerging issues of importance to the company and to prioritize appropriately.
- Have ability to take a key role or position in industry association such as PhRMA.
- Have a deep knowledge of the industry business regulatory & healthcare policy environment coupled with a good ability to clearly articulate a plan that enables J&J IM to understand the risks opportunities and implications of industry/government initiatives that may impact the business with strategies to manage issues both proactively and reactively.
- Be a Credo based leader that drives integrity throughout the organization
- Have at least a bachelors degree. An MBA MPH Masters degree or equivalent would be advantageous.
