Job Summary

Special Education Teacher North Carolina School-Based Opportunity

Looking to grow your career in a role that truly makes a difference We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to join a North Carolina school district for the current academic year.

In this position you will deliver individualized instruction and targeted support to students with diverse learning needs ensuring access to the general education curriculum. You will design implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using data-driven practices to monitor progress and support meaningful student growth.

Collaboration is a key component of this role. You will work closely with general education teachers related service providers administrators and families to create consistent supportive learning environments. Through differentiated instruction and evidence-based strategies you will help students build confidence independence and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate documentation service logs and progress reports.
Monitor student progress through ongoing data collection and analysis.
Participate in evaluations team meetings and multidisciplinary planning.
Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with student goals.
Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive classroom practices.
Develop implement and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education.
Experience in resource inclusion or self-contained classroom settings preferred.
Valid North Carolina teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain).
