Job Summary
Role Summary
The Principal Engineer for Automotive Cybersecurity Governance & Compliance is responsible for leading the regional compliance strategy and technical governance for automotive MCU and SoC products across China and the APAC region. This role ensures that semiconductor platforms reference architectures safety manuals and cybersecurity collateral enable OEMs and Tier 1 customers to achieve compliance with China GB GB CATARCdirected certification activities and UN R155based national implementations including Koreas Vehicle Cybersecurity Audit Framework.
The role acts as the technical authority and regulatory interface for cybersecurity certification impacts on MCU/SoC suppliers bridging global product development teams regional regulatory bodies certification agencies and customer compliance teams.

Qualifications :
MUST
- 12 years of experience in automotive cybersecurity functional safety or secure semiconductor architecture with at least 5 years in a principal or lead technical governance role.
- Fluent/proficient in Chinese language (Mandarin)
- Demonstrated experience supporting vehicle cybersecurity certification or audits aligned with UN R155 / ISO/SAE 21434 from a Tier 1 or semiconductor supplier perspective.
- Deep understanding of automotive MCU/SoC security features including cryptography secure boot HSM secure OTA enablement and lifecycle vulnerability management.
- Direct experience working with Chinese automotive regulations and authorities including GB standards and CATARC led activities.
- Strong technical communication skills for regulatory bodies customers and executive stakeholders.
WANT
- Prior involvement in China vehicle cybersecurity testing or CSMS audits.
- Familiarity with Korean automotive cybersecurity audits or customer support under the Motor Vehicle Management Act.
- Experience influencing product roadmaps based on regulatory and long term compliance trends.
- Working knowledge of China cybersecurity law data security law and automotive data governance frameworks as contextual background (not legal ownership).
