Job Summary

Are you interested in defining the future operating model for Amazons global delivery operations and creating a world class experience for our customers associates and driver partners Amazon Logistics (AMZL) delivery operations are on pace to become one of the largest parcel carriers in the world. Robust process that fully leverages delivery station and driver capacities are critical to accomplishing that scale while delivering a world class customer experience. As part of the JP AMZL Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) team you will lead implementing measuring and improving standard work processes that will drive customer experience and performance improvement within our delivery station network. You are accountable for influencing business-critical decisions that enable scale and deliver consistent industry leading performance within our AMZL Operations. You will raise the bar on customer experiencewhile lowering costs and supporting our rapid growth. To be successful in this role you will need to be an influencer capable of working effectively with senior leadership across multiple organizations and geographies. You will also need to be a self-starter proven program leader diligent project leader communicator and problem solver with strong analytical skills. You will work with cross-functional teams on complex logistics problems deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customer.

Key job responsibilities
This role is accountable of process improvement initiatives and have the scope of impact demonstrated through delivered results and significant influence on network operational improvements. The key responsibilities of the role are: Lead network level complex ($5M) initiatives independently by designing and implementing systems metrics and programs that maximize compliance productivity and continuous improvement. Identifies and tackles intrinsically hard problems (e.g. highly complex ambiguous undefined with little to no existing structure have significant business or security risk or potential for significant impact) and resolves issues and initiates corrective action as appropriate. Is the Process Expert in the network evidenced as being the go to person for the most complex operational problems of your process area and influence the future roadmap for AMZL. Is consulted regarding process changes and for higher levels is considered as a formal owner of the process. Analyzes and dives deep on AMZL business challenges with a focus on understanding root causes creates a clear path towards solving the rout-cause. Is a key influencer in contributing to strategic goals roadmap and plans (through OP1 and OP2) including idea scoping business analysis prioritization and robust planning. Supports in defining the vision and strategy for their area of expertise. Drives and leads mindful discussions with numerous cross-functional business and technology teams through ideation planning and execution. Demonstrates robust Project Management and reporting skills to drive the delivery of results and project compliance. Develops clear mechanisms to pro-active identifying and preventing project delays by following the correct escalation process when required. Structures and develops implementation plans and works with Ops leaders to pilot and test new solutions and then roll-out across the broader Ops organization at country/cross-country and/or cross regional level. Influences regional leaders and senior Managers to buy into and implement identified projects and opportunities. When confronted with discordant views find the best way forward and influence others to follow that path (build consensus). Writes clear and compelling business proposals for ideas and recommendations for Director/VP/OLT level audiences. Demonstrates strong ownership of any part of their project. Possesses combination of practical and intellectual skills and an ability to shift and adapt to different tasks that vary between complex analyses and hands-on project and operations management. Creates clear financial savings calculations for your projects and collaborate closely with the respective Finance team to build a solid reporting mechanism on a project level. Engages other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers. Able to work independently and identify new opportunities develop new concepts and ideas and always be in position to create enough work for yourself and create opportunities for more junior team members

A day in the life
Youll spend your days working at the intersection of operations and compliance making sure our delivery network runs safely and by the book. Youll dig into data to spot trends flag risks and drive fixes across our delivery stations collaborating with ops leaders legal and finance to turn insights into real change. Some days youre deep in a root-cause analysis; others youre pitching a new initiative to senior leadership or rolling out a process improvement across the country. Expect variety ambiguity and the satisfaction of knowing your work directly shapes how millions of packages reach customers.

- Bachelors degree or above in engineering project management operations logistics supply chain or related field
- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy managing end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience in compliance program management legal governance audit risk/loss prevention or equivalent
- Experience in program management logistics operations supply chain transportation or a related field
- Comply with all applicable Japanese transportation laws labor standards road traffic regulations and occupational safety requirements.

- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field
- Experience in a high volume high production operations environment
- 1 years of implementing safety standards experience
- Experience in regulatory frameworks and policy analysis methodologies
