As a Lab Technician youll work alongside our team of consultants engineers and technicians to deliver dimensional pressure and temperature calibrations for a wide client base. This is a varied hands-on role where youll also support the wider delivery team who conduct full-scale asset testing pipeline repair and intervention projects.

What youll do:

  • Conduct dimensional pressure and temperature calibrations within a UKAS accredited laboratory
  • Record and validate calibration data with a high level of accuracy
  • Produce calibration certificates and technical reports
  • Maintain asset registers and maintenance records
  • Support a wider delivery team in flow testing flow calibration and other operational activities
  • Participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with operational procedures
  • Communicate effectively with technical colleagues clients and stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate the collection receipt and return of client assets

Qualifications

What youll bring:

  • Practical experience within an engineering laboratory or technical environment
  • A technical understanding of measured results calibration principles and measurement uncertainties
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong communication skills with experience of report writing and data analysis
  • Excellent organisational skills with the initiative to prioritise tasks and deliver outstanding results
  • A flexible positive attitude and commitment to working safely
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering would be beneficial but is not essential
