Job Summary

As a Laboratory Technician youll help ensure our clients receive highquality timely results by:

  • Analysing samples using approved analytical methods and recording results in our LIMS system. 
  • Performing statistical quality control checks to keep testing compliant and reliable.
  • Supporting daily lab operations through calibrations standardisations and routine testing.
  • Collaborating with Inspection and Laboratory teams to deliver an efficient and accurate service.
  • Assisting with stock control workload planning and clear communication with clients.
  • Troubleshooting equipment or method issues to keep testing running smoothly.
  • Participating in proficiency testing and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications :

What Youll Bring

  • Experience working in a highly accurate proceduredriven environment.
  • Understanding of analytical testing and basic laboratory techniques (pipetting balances liquid handling).
  • Strong IT skills (Word Excel LIMS).
  • Excellent communication organisational and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work with autonomy and maturity.
  • GCSEs (A*C) in Maths & English and a full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a commercial laboratory.
  • Familiarity with hazardous substances or PPErequired work.
  • Background in petrochemical or similar service industries.
  • Scientific qualifications (ALevel/HND/BSc in Chemistry or related discipline).
