About the role

We are seeking a Metering Support Officer to support the efficient delivery of the Metering Program of Works based at our Old Guildford depot on a 9-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Team Leader Metering Scheduling this role plays a key part in booking and coordinating customer appointments for metering maintenance ensuring customers are well informed and supported throughout the process.

You will be a primary point of contact for customers responsible for scheduling appointments confirming access arrangements and managing changes or issues that may impact delivery. Your ability to communicate clearly manage expectations and coordinate effectively with internal teams and field crews will help ensure a positive customer experience and smooth operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Book and coordinate customer appointments for metering maintenance ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately and within required timeframes
  • Manage customer interactions across phone and email
  • Confirm site access appointment details and special requirements for difficulttoaccess or complex jobs
  • Maintain accurate work order and appointment records ensuring information is current and reliable
  • Liaise with internal teams contractors and stakeholders to resolve issues and support operational delivery
  • Proactively follow up jobs to ensure completion quality outcomes and customer satisfaction

About You

You are organised customer-focused and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will also possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service coordination or support role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive or complex customer enquiries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) with experience using systems such as SAP or Power BI highly regarded
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to make sound decisions solve problems and adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience in utilities services or a similar operational environment is desirable
