What youll be doing:
- Delivering exceptional customer service to visitors staff and program participants.
- Providing administrative support to the Swim School Team Leader to ensure smooth program operations.
- Assisting Swim Instructors and Aquatic Services Officers in the delivery of Learn to Swim programs.
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment acting as Warden during emergencies or evacuations.
- Supporting staff inductions ongoing training and development initiatives.
- Responding to feedback constructively and contributing to continuous improvement of programs and services.
- Upholding confidentiality professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
The skills and experience youll bring to the role:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Previous experience in administrative support ideally in a leisure recreation or aquatic environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Positive attitude reliability and a commitment to supporting a safe engaging environment for all visitors.
- Experience in training or supporting staff is highly desirable.
Required Certifications & Qualifications:
The incumbent is required to hold and maintain current qualifications in;
- Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate including current CPR Certificate.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Experience in swim instruction.
- Current drivers licence.
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
- Aquatic Services Officer qualification.
- Infant Aquatics Certificate.
- Access and Inclusion Certificate.
- Teacher of Adults accreditation.
- Competitive Strokes qualification.
- Austswim Assessor / Workplace Assessor accreditation.
