Job Summary

Expected hours of work per week: 10-15

Work Location & Hours: Probasco M-F 8a-4:30p

Qualifications for Position:

  • Must be an active Covenant student.
  • Covenant student who is familiar with office systems (i.e. Google Docs Gmail Microsoft Office etc.)
  • Must know how to type file copy scan be comfortable answering phones
  • Must be able to pay attention to details
  • Math proficient is a plus
  • Can follow directions and learn new skills quickly
  • Flexibility to occasionally move hours around for busy times or weekend events

Expected Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all data entry in Slate regarding both prospective students and applicants - including information regarding churches and schools official test scores information provided by Admissions Counselors following college fairs or events etc.
  • Run queries in Slate to keep up with processes our system cannot complete automatically
  • Assist with both daily mailings and occasional mass mailing projects such as inquiry packets regular admit letters signing day packages and special projects
  • Transport informational materials from storage facility or mailroom to the Admissions office
  • Maintain inventory of print materials and merchandise of Admissions office
  • Back up phone answering for the support staff
  • Aid in the preparation of larger Admissions events as needed
  • Maintain a high level of discretion as this is a position that requires access to the personal information of prospective students and applicants
  • Perform other duties as requested by Admissions staff

Resume skills development (NACE Competencies required by employers) to be developed

  • Career & Self-Development including learning new skills systems and attending professional development trainings as offered.
  • Communication including phone email and in-person with various departments students from across the nation and internationally through phone and email.
  • Critical Thinking in the form of auditing files and finding solutions to assist students in the admissions funnel progression.
  • Global Literacy displayed by working with prospective students from diverse backgrounds
  • Leadership through opportunities to be responsible for outcomes based on sound decision making and follow through of given assignments related to admissions.
  • Professionalism by learning and applying professional etiquette in various types of communication and interactions with on campus community as well as prospective Covenant students and families.
  • Teamwork including projects with the admissions and operations team to bring awareness to Covenant for prospective students and also serve students throughout the admissions process.
  • Technology skills will be developed through the use of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system as well as the use of various office technologies such as G Suite Microsoft Office and Slack.
