What You Will Get To Do:

The Associate Manager Private Markets is responsible for the accounting valuation and reporting of complex investments including derivative instruments fixed income private equity and international financial products. This role leads a team of primarily technical and professional staff providing guidance on daily work resolving escalated issues and ensuring schedules and deadlines are met. The Associate Manager actively participates in the teams activities while recommending process improvements and policy updates to meet departmental goals.

  • Lead and manage a team of technical or professional staff working on complex accounting and valuation tasks.

  • Oversee the accounting and valuation of complex investments including derivatives fixed income private equity and international financial products.

  • Resolve escalated issues and provide technical guidance to team members.

  • Administer company policies and provide day-to-day direction to staff sometimes through team leads.

  • Recommend new procedures and process improvements to enhance team efficiency and accuracy.

  • Ensure compliance with established accounting standards company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Support month-end quarter-end and year-end reporting activities.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including operations risk and finance teams on investment matters.

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of a Masters degree with 2 years of related experience or a Bachelors degree with 5 years of related experience.

  • Proven experience in accounting valuation and reporting for complex financial instruments including derivatives and private markets investments.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and coaching technical or professional staff.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment while adhering to established policies and procedures.

  • Excellent analytical organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience with private equity fixed income or derivative product accounting.

  • Familiarity with fund administration platforms and valuation tools.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in private markets and financial reporting.
