Job Title: Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Kona Hawaii

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts 72 hours per two-week pay period
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse to support multiple units within an acute care hospital setting. The RN will float between two Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units and may also assist with MS overflow in ICU and Emergency Department when needed. This role requires strong clinical skills adaptability and confidence in managing diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities - Provide safe high-quality nursing care across multiple inpatient units.
- Float between Medical-Surgical/Telemetry departments as assigned.
- Support MS overflow cases in ICU and ED when required.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care in alignment with hospital policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans.
- Document accurately within the facilitys EMR system.
- Respond to emergencies and manage high-acuity situations when needed.
- Maintain compliance with all state federal and organizational regulations.
Work Schedule - 12-hour night shifts
- 72 hours per two-week cycle
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating required every shift based on census and staffing needs
Requirements - Active Hawaii RN license (must be current).
- Minimum 3 years of recent acute care experience.
- Strong background in Med-Surg and Telemetry required.
- Experience working with ICU and ED overflow preferred.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- Ability to float confidently between units.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bilingual not required.
Certifications (as applicable to assignment) - BLS / BCLS
- CPI ENPC RNFA TNCC AWONN NIHSS STABLE ASLS NRP BTSA AAP/PHON CMA CCM ARM EFM
