Summary

We are currently seeking a senior project manager that will perform functions to coordinate and direct all activities from the inception to the successful completion of complex projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage projects involving significant engineering development third party interfaces and possibly including field testing and installation.

  • Develop influential relationships with target customers at all levels understand decision making processes

  • Coordinate develop and prepare segments of project proposals including customer presentations and negotiations

  • Provide direction and oversight to project team including engineering quality assurance purchasing and cost accounting

  • Secure and coordinate the services of support organizations including legal finance manufacturing sales and field services.

  • Continuously monitor the project for signs of existing or potential problems and take the lead role to solve or preclude the problem from developing. This may take the form of adding resources negotiating a change with the customer revising the plan etc. as deemed appropriate. Risk and mitigation

  • Represent the business as the single point of contact for the projects customer with respect to technical commercial schedule and add-on sales

  • Develop and negotiate proposals for supplementary work and changes of project scope.

  • Prepare and issue progress reports and presentations to customers and management at senior levels

  • Coordinate/conduct periodic project review meetings for business leadership

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Business and/or technical discipline from an accredited university or college

PMP certification

Excellent English and Portuguese verbal and written communication skills

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management within the oil and gas industry

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role with leadership responsibilities providing exposure across a wide range of facets including technical commercial and operational within the oil and gas industry

Skills and Abilities:

  • Possess senior level presence

  • Demonstrated solid communicator written and oral

  • Strong general business and project financial acumen

  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries and to work in cross functional and cross regional teams need to influence as well as direct others

  • Strong interpersonal skills with customers peers team members

  • Ability to think in both strategic and tactical terms

  • Ability to drive change in a challenging business environment

  • Strong analytical negotiation commercial acumen and contractual awareness

  • Market awareness and general understanding of O&G upstream business dynamics

  • Customer intimacy works well with customers able to understand needs and drive HMH product strategy to meet these needs

  • Experienced negotiator
