Job Summary

REPORTS TO: Director of Evaluation and Performance Management

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Performance Management Team (PMT) develops and deploys tools and resources professional learning experiences and direct consultation to school and district leaders in order to provide employees with clarity support and accountability for meeting the needs of students and families in BPS.

The Performance Management Systems Coordinator is tasked with developing technical solutions to delivering content organizing resources and organizing data and communications for the PMT as well as providing systems-embedded training and support for various PMT-related platforms including maintaining the districts online performance evaluation platform and related data.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise strong focus on user experience and customer service initiative and innovation collaboration as a member of a high-functioning team maintaining confidentiality and excellence of organizational systems and communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Management Systems and Data

  • Maintain the districts online evaluation platform data including evaluator and plan assignments
  • Collaborate on data integration between evaluation and other district platforms
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of employee personnel records
  • Provide evaluation platform user support as a systems administrator
  • Maintain and develop the BPS Interactive rubric
  • Generate targeted data pulls to support evaluation reporting and analysis
  • Respond to information requests related to performance evaluations

Team Communications and Media

  • Produce standard evaluation communications (broadcasts) for school leaders
  • Collaborate with teammates to develop and facilitate training and professional development
  • Maintain PMT Team resources (Google Drive)
  • Maintain and update Performance Management-related Superintendents Circulars

Development Delivery and Curation of Professional Learning and related Resources

  • Develop and maintain BPS Performance Management Webpage
  • Produce online learning experiences (on-demand modules webinars interactive tools) for the PMT

OHR and Cross-Functional Teams

  • Collaborate with other BPS constituencies in cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate Student feedback communication collection and reporting
  • Support the teams development of responsible policy and practice standards related to the use of AI in performance management
  • Support PMT contracting and procurement projects.

Qualifications - Required:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating online learning (via online management systems and/or webinar)
  • Ability to use and integrate technology appropriately in daily work i.e. word processing database spreadsheets Internet and online project management tools Google Suite Office HTML
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize daily tasks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to coordinate and work effectively with diverse staff
  • Ability to quickly learn BPS systems and applications
  • Current authorization to work in the United States
  • An understanding of and commitment to gain greater understanding of what is necessary for an urban school system to enjoy continuous improvement in an increasingly complex and competitive environment.
  • A deeply held and unyielding belief in the overarching mission of public education.

Qualifications - Preferred:

  • BA/BS in education Ed Tech or related field
  • Experience with such enterprise software as: Vector Evaluations PD (aka TeachPoint) and PeopleSoft (Oracle)
  • Experience with AI applications such as Gemini Google NotebookLM and ChatGPT
  • Familiarity with MA DESE Educator Evaluation Regulations
  • 1-3 years experience working in a K-12 school setting supporting teachers using technology and/or digital media OR Teaching experience in a K-12 urban setting
  • Computer certification/license or Massachusetts Instructional Technology Specialist Certification/license
  • Google Certification
  • Familiarity with Boston and Boston Public Schools

UNION/MANAGERIAL/RESIDENCY REQUIRED: Managerial/Boston Residency Required.

Terms: Managerial B31. 12 Months (Full time).
