The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel Manufacturing is looking for a Shift Supervisor (Mill Operations) to join the Mill Operations Team based in Salisbury. Orrcon Steel Manufacturing is a leading Australian supplier of steel and aluminium products offering a comprehensive range engineered to meet the demands of diverse industries. In this hands-on leadership role you will guide and empower a team of Mill Operators. This position is ideal for a leader who understands the physical mechanical and technical demands of mill operations. You will lead by example maintaining a high-visibility presence on the floor to drive performance and support your teams success.

Enjoy a rotating shift patten across Monday to Friday.

• Morning shifts 5:00am 1:00pm
• Day shift 8:00am - 4:00pm
• Afternoon shift 12:00pm - 9:00pm

What Will You Do

With a strong focus on teamwork you will be:

• providing clear direction and oversight to ensure all mill operations run smoothly
• working closely with your team to manage daily operations ensuring they have the guidance and/or support needed to meet workload demands
• identifying practical ways to improve performance and mitigate risks with a consistent focus on achieving on-time delivery for our customers
• overseeing essential administrative duties including accurate payroll processing incident reporting and maintaining operational data
• actively developing the teams technical capabilities to help them progress and master their roles

• experience working within an operations warehousing or mill environment
