About the role
We are Pleased to offer the position of Emergency Department Patient Services Supervisor a pivotal leadership role responsible for the day to day operational management of patient services within a dynamic and fast paced Emergency Department Environment.
In this role you will lead and coordinate all administrative and clerical functions that support patient flow and experience ensuring the delivery of high-quality efficient and safe care. This position is also responsible for coordinating daily workflows maintaining adequate departmental resources and supplies and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational addition you will ensure the department maintains high standards of customer service consistently delivering a positive patient experience.
Your main duties will include:
- Leading mentoring and managing the Patient Services/Administrative team within the Emergency Department
- Coordinating daily staffing allocation rostering timesheet management and leave planning
- Managing recruitment onboarding training and retention of team members
- Overseeing patient admissions discharges and transfers ensuring compliance with financial and administrative processes
- Developing implementing and maintaining departmental procedures guidelines and documentation
- Monitoring and improving customer service standards ensuring prompt resolution of patient enquiries and complaints
- Participating in quality improvement activities and contributing to operational and information management committees

You are a proactive and organised leader with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred service. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring a collaborative and solutions-focused approach to team leadership.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a healthcare or emergency services environment
- Strong operational management skills including rostering workflow coordination and resource planning
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of a hospital setting
- A strong customer service focus and commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience in administrative and clerical functions within a healthcare environment (highly regarded)
- Sound computer literacy and attention to detail
