What youll do
This role is central to creating a safe functional and welcoming home for residents. Based at Grange youll lead maintenance operations across an ageing site balancing day-to-day reactive works with the opportunity to build a more proactive preventative maintenance approach.
Youll work closely with a small on-site team and a broad network of contractors ensuring all building systemsfrom legacy plumbing and electrical to HVAC and structural elementsare maintained to a high standard. Your expertise will be critical in navigating the complexities of older infrastructure while keeping compliance safety and resident experience front of mind.
Youll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:
- Leading maintenance coordination across plant equipment and infrastructure
- Developing and driving a preventative maintenance program for ageing assets
- Managing contractors to deliver safe high-quality and compliant work
- Conducting risk audits hazard identification and safety improvements
- Ensuring compliance with WHS Australian Standards and aged care requirements
What youll bring
To thrive in this role you will have:
- Trade qualification (or strong all-round maintenance background)
- 5 years in facilities/building maintenance (aged care/health ideal)
- Proven experience managing contractors and complex maintenance issues
- Strong knowledge of WHS compliance and building systems
- Current drivers licence
We would also love you to have:
- Experience working with ageing or legacy infrastructure systems
- Confidence using CMMS or maintenance management systems
- Leadership experience guiding small teams or coordinating trades
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Empathy and communication skills when working in resident environments
