Role Overview

As a Software Tester you will:

• Ensure the quality functionality and performance of software applications
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot verify and validate bug fixes
• Execute functional regression usability and performance testing
• Identify document and prioritize defects
• Contribute to QA process improvements and automation strategies
• Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and testing objectives.
• Design develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for new and existing applications.
• Perform various types of testing including functional usability regression and performance testing.
• Accurately identify document and prioritise software defects and inconsistencies.
• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot verify and validate bug fixes.
• Create and maintain clear concise and comprehensive bug reports and status updates.
• Participate in design and requirement review meetings to provide QA-related input.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends tools and best practices in software testing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes methodologies and automation strategies.

Educational Qualification / Other Requirement:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field

3 years of relevant experience

Certifications in software testing (e.g. ISTQB CSTE) are advantageous

Experience with test management tools and version control systems is a plus

Familiarity with Agile and iterative development methodologies

Proficient in designing and executing test plans test cases and test scripts

Knowledge of various testing types (functional regression usability etc.)

Familiarity with testing tools and platforms

Basic understanding of programming concepts and databases
