- Monday Friday: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
- One weekend per month required
Job Summary
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality radiologic and MRI examinations under the direction of radiologists. This role involves patient interaction imaging procedures equipment operation and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI and radiographic examinations as per physician orders
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety
- Operate imaging equipment efficiently to obtain quality diagnostic images
- Apply appropriate radiation safety and protection standards
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to needs
- Document procedures accurately in Radiology Information Systems
- Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors
- Maintain compliance with departmental protocols and policies
- Ensure proper handling and processing of imaging data
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent)
- Active New York State license/registration
- Minimum 1 year of CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist
- Ability to pass pre-employment health screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Level 1 Trauma setting
- Experience with Siemens MRI scanners
