Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: New York NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
Compensation:
- Local: $1950/week
- Travel: $2411/week
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Registered Dietitian to support patient care through comprehensive nutritional assessment and planning. This role involves developing individualized diet plans educating patients on nutrition and fooddrug interactions and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition screenings and comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Monitor food and medication interactions and document findings
- Provide nutrition education to patients and families
- Review lab results and medical records to guide dietary recommendations
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and care teams on diet modifications
- Adjust meal plans based on patient needs and medical conditions
- Document all nutrition interventions and patient progress
- Perform follow-up assessments to evaluate effectiveness of care plans
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Dietetics Nutrition or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of clinical or healthcare nutrition experience
- Masters Degree in Dietetics or related field
Certifications & Licensure
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- For long-term care settings: New York State Dietitian-Nutritionist certification required at time of hire
