CommonBond Communities invites qualified applicants to apply for the Front Desk Clerk
position at our Lexington Commons property in Saint Paul Minnesota. The Front Desk
Clerk is responsible for greeting visitors answering phones keeping the building secure
and providing administrative support for site staô.
Salary: $20.00 Per Hour
Hours: 5pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Resident and Guest Interaction
o Greet residents guests and service providers warmly and professionally.
o Monitor and log visitor access in accordance with building policies.
o Provide basic resource information and assistance to residents as needed
Safety and Security
o Monitor building entrances and surveillance systems.
o Conduct regular walk-throughs of the property to ensure safety.
o Respond to emergencies by contacting appropriate services and following
protocols
Administrative Duties
o Answer phones take messages and direct calls.
o Maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
o Write shift reports and communicate with incoming staô.
Policy Enforcement
o Enforce house rules visitor policies and quiet hours.
o Report violations or concerning behavior to property management and supportive
housing coordinators.
Supportive Environment
o Use a trauma-informed and harm-reduction approach in interactions.
o Assist in creating a respectful inclusive and stable community.
o Collaborate with property management and service teams to support housing
retention
Facility Oversight
o Communicate maintenance requests or cleaning needs related to common areas
within the building to property management.
o Report any hazards or facility issues promptly to property management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
o High school diploma or equivalent required.
o Prior experience in residential hospitality or social service settings preferred.
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
o Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm professional manner.
o Familiarity with trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles is a plus.
o Demonstrated experience working within diverse communities which include
people of various ages gender sexual orientations national origins income levels
ability levels religious aôiliations races and languages.
o De-escalation and negotiating techniques.
o Be Certified in CPR and First Aid or have the ability to become Certified within 90
days of starting position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
o Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
o Ability to lift carry push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
o Ability to file documents.
o Ability to enter data into a computer.
o Ability to interact verbally with internal and external audiences.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
o Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as scheduled.
