Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Program Manager to join our team in Sydney this role you will be driving our critical developer initiatives from conception to delivery. You will be navigating ambiguity managing multiple workstreams working with stakeholders across all levels in the organization.


Key job responsibilities
Lead end-to-end program management of cross-functional initiatives ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful delivery
Develop and maintain program plans including timelines dependencies risks and resource requirements
Partner with senior leadership to define program strategy success metrics and key deliverables
Drive effective stakeholder management across multiple business units maintaining clear communication channels and managing expectations
Monitor program budgets and resource allocation ensuring efficient use of resources
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program delivery methods and team effectiveness

A day in the life
Your morning may kick off with crafting and distributing status updates for major workstreams highlighting key metrics blockers and upcoming milestones to DevEx leaders. After running an standup where you help the team resolve blockers you pivot to writing the monthly business reviews gathering data points and ensuring your narrative communicates both successes and areas needing attention.

The afternoon brings a different pace as you lead a cross functional meetings to plan for an upcoming developer event working on key themes speakers technical topics and the evening you might attend a local developer meetup and gather critical feedback about a new product launch. Throughout the day you maintain your careful balance of strategic thinking and hands-on problem solving ensuring both the big picture and daily details receive the attention they need.

The Developer Experience teams mission is to explore the future of development so that we can help developers navigate a path to that future. Our goal is inspire developers around the world. We show them how to practically use the new technologies to build efficiently in the cloud. We show them new things they are now able to achieve both in tackling more complex cloud problems and building new solutions that leverage generative AI. We earn trust with developers by being authentic and by being practitioners ourselves. We are on an exciting journey together and not everything is solved yet.

- 8 years of program or project management experience
- 8 years of leading large complex programs experience
- Experience in written and oral communication including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical business executive)
- Experience in vendor management
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Technology management or a related field
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g. Asana)
- Experience managing program budgets and resources

- Experience in stakeholder management including influencing executive level global leaders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
