Job Summary

Job Description: Position:
Project Accountant responsible for managing the financial aspects of the Aurora project ensuring accuracy of budgets/forecasts time reporting and meet financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management: Assist in financial planning and management of the Aurora project including time recording / valuation capitalization PO forecasting & actuals.
Variance Analysis: Investigate variances between budgeted and actual costs providing insights to project managers.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to provide timely financial information and support project goals.
Reporting: Prepare financial reports forecasts and cost estimates using Apptio Target Process for project management and oversight.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards particularly related to internally developed technology accounting reviewing contracts and reporting project cost performance as necessary.

Qualifications
Education: A bachelors degree in accounting finance business or a related field is typically required.
Experience: At least five years of experience in project accounting or a related field is preferred with familiarity in project accounting software SAP required Apptio One / Target Process desirable
Skills: Strong analytical skills attention to detail and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

Work Environment
The role is based in K-C s Dallas Head Quarters and will report to the Project financial controller.
o In office Tuesday & Wednesday (doesn t need to be FT) but at least 2 days a week and for sure during training it s FT in office
This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are financially viable and that resources are used efficiently making it a key position within the finance department of any organization.
