Job Summary

Position Summary

The General Labor / Material Handlersupports daily operations within the powder coating and paint department bysafely moving materials preparing parts for coating assisting with line flowand maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role plays a keypart in ensuring that production runs smoothly parts are handled properly andfinished products meet quality standards. Inthis role the General Laborer will receive day-to-day directions from the PowderLead.

Duties andResponsibilities

Perform general labor tasks including lifting moving loading andorganizing materials or components used in defense manufacturing.

Load unload and move parts racks and materials throughout the shop.

Stage incoming parts for prep powder coating painting or oven curing.

Operate forklifts pallet jacks carts and hoists (training provided).

Ensure parts are handled safely to avoid damage contamination orcoating defects.

Assist with racking and unracking parts according to job travelers andwork orders.

Help prepare parts for coating (masking plugging wiping hangingetc.).

Assist with production processes such as assembly preparation packaging and inspection of defense-relatedproducts or components.

Operatebasic tools and equipment safely.

Followstrict safety security and quality-control guidelines in accordance withdefense industry standards

Verify part numbers job travelers work orders and labels match correctly.

Maintain clean and organized work areas including material storage zones.

Report damaged equipment hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.

Wear required PPE (gloves steel toe shoes safety glasses etc.) in powder-coating environments.

Thisposition safeguards Colonials information network with user access privileges.

Skills &Qualifications

Strongunderstanding of safety practices and willingness to follow instructions.

Ability to lift-up to 50 pounds

Strongattention to detail and accuracy.

Abilityto work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Goodcommunication and teamwork skills.

Dependableselfmotivated and safetyfocused.

Must be 18 years of age or older
