A position for technical lead at Airbus acts as the technical creator representative leading the team under the guidance of the product manager and other stakeholders. This position has become available in the Enterprise Architecture - products team within Airbus Commercial.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the design and technical execution of solutions focusing on Enterprise Architecture (EA) automation data engineering and intelligent application development within the specified platform framework (e.g. Skywise).
Direct the implementation of advanced AI/ML features including developing models for what-if scenario analysis resource optimization and R&D for proprietary algorithms.
Technical Ownership of LLM Development: Lead the team on all Large Language Model (LLM) tasks including fine-tuning RAG pipeline implementation context window management and seamless integration of LLMs into production applications.
Oversee the implementation of operational monitoring for EA processes and drive the identification and implementation of automation opportunities using AI/ML.
Define and own the data strategy for the EA landscape including mapping data sources ensuring data quality and consolidating visualization into a single platform.
Lead a small self-sufficient multi-disciplinary team responsible for end-to-end product development ensuring code quality maintainability and adherence to IT standards.
Define and implement the CI/CD pipeline for fully automated deployments across all environments.
Technical Consultation: Co-design solutions own the technology trade-offs (cost maintenance) and provide expert technical advice to the Product Manager.
Own the application lifecycle: participate in all phases (analysis design test integration operation) and manage related incidents problems and changes.
Qualification & Experience:
Required:
Bachelor/Master Degree in a relevant technical field with 12 years of software industry experience including at least 7 years in a hands-on Tech Lead role.
Extensive experience leading a high-performing team including vendor resources in an agile (Scrum/SAFe) environment.
Deep hands-on expertise in data engineering data analytics ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g. Talend Databricks) and visualization (Tableau/Power BI).
Thorough working experience with API development RDBMS and NoSQL databases (e.g. S3/MongoDB).
Solid working experience with the DevOps stack (Containerization Jenkins Terraform).
Demonstrated experience in leading LLM projects including successful deployment of models or RAG architectures into production.
Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
Desired:
Experience in end-to-end application ETL and visualization flow design and architecture.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Knowledge of sustainable software development practices.
