Job Summary

Job Title: Duck Creek Technical Lead / Architect

Location: Chennai / Bangalore / Remote

We are looking for an experienced Duck Creek Technical Lead/Architect with strong expertise in Playwright automation. The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end development automation strategy and system integrations for Duck Creek Policy systems while ensuring high-quality delivery through robust testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Duck Creek Engineering:
Design develop and implement Duck Creek Policy solutions in coordination with application development teams.
Automation Strategy:
Lead the design and implementation of automation frameworks using Playwright for end-to-end testing.
System Integration:
Collaborate with architects to build loosely coupled integrations and ensure proper automation coverage (contract & integration testing).
Technical Leadership:
Provide effort estimation technical guidance and solution design for both development and automation.
CI/CD & DevOps:
Integrate Playwright automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) to enable shift-left testing.
Defect Management:
Work with QA teams to debug issues fix defects and enhance regression test coverage.
Code Quality & Standards:
Maintain high standards for code quality security and release automation.
Production Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and performance bottlenecks.
Mentorship:
Guide junior developers on Duck Creek configuration and automation best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Duck Creek Expertise:
4 years of experience in Duck Creek Policy (configuration upgrades support)
Technical Leadership:
3 years as Technical Lead / Architect
Development Skills:
Strong experience in:
- C# .NET
- Duck Creek tools (CBO Author ManuScript)
Automation:
Hands-on experience building automation frameworks using Playwright
Testing Knowledge:
Strong debugging and testing skills in:
- Rating
- Forms
- Business Rules
Cloud Experience:
Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP and running automation in cloud environments
Architecture:
Experience in designing scalable testable systems using modern frameworks
Domain Experience:
Insurance / Financial Services industry preferred

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication with technical & non-technical stakeholders
Ability to estimate and plan effectively

Nice to Have

Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Exposure to headless browser automation in cloud environments
