About the Project
ACCIONA Agua is seeking to appoint an experienced Engineering Manager to support upcoming tenders and future delivery of water civil and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects across South Australia.
These may include wastewater treatment plants drinking water treatment facilities desalination plants civil structures earthworks mechanical and electrical installations and integrated water infrastructure systems.
Your expertise will directly influence project strategy bid competitiveness and delivery outcomes across complex largescale infrastructure programs.
About the Opportunity
This role is pivotal in providing technical leadership across a broad range of engineering disciplines. You will lead the review of engineering scopes support bid preparation and ensure highquality design and documentation from concept through to project completion.
This position can be based in Adelaide or Brisbane.
What are the key accountabilities for the position
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering reviews across civil structural mechanical electrical and water infrastructure scopes.
- Provide technical oversight during bidding phases evaluating proposed engineering solutions methodologies and constructability.
- Conduct design optimisation for treatment plants desalination components and related infrastructure.
- Prepare and review technical documentation specifications data sheets and material/equipment tabulations.
- Oversee postpurchase technical documentation and ensure full alignment with project requirements.
- Support standardisation initiatives to improve projectwide engineering consistency.
- Extract analyse and communicate critical technical information from tender documents.
- Drive improvements in engineering methodologies to enhance bid competitiveness.
- Supervise and mentor engineering team members to ensure highquality and timely outputs.
- Maintain strong collaboration across crossfunctional teams ensuring alignment with project deliverables and milestones.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Project Manager within civil or water infrastructure environments.
- Demonstrated multidisciplinary engineering capability across civil structural mechanical electrical and water infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and teammanagement experience guiding engineering and design teams to meet deliverables on time and within budget.
- Highly effective communication negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to engage and manage stakeholders including:
- internal project teams
- joint venture partners
- external consultants
- government authorities and regulators
- Familiarity with major project tendering processes within Australia.
- Strong technical understanding of engineering design optimisation equipment selection and risk assessment.
- Ability to drive a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.
- High proficiency in reviewing detailed engineering documentation and ensuring full compliance with standards and specifications.
