Job Summary
The Engineering Program Coordinator (Construction) is responsible for supporting the planning execution and delivery of construction projects. This role works closely with project managers engineers contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The coordinator plays a key role in tracking project progress managing documentation and facilitating communication across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support multiple construction and engineering projects from initiation to completion
Assist in project planning scheduling and resource allocation
Track project milestones timelines and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
Maintain and manage project documentation including RFIs submittals contracts and reports
Act as a liaison between project managers engineers contractors and clients
Monitor project budgets expenses and cost forecasts
Ensure compliance with safety regulations building codes and company standards
Prepare regular status reports and presentations for stakeholders
Support procurement processes including vendor coordination and material tracking
Identify risks and assist in developing mitigation plans
Coordinate meetings site visits and communication across cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field
2 5 years of experience in construction coordination project coordination or engineering support roles
Strong understanding of construction processes documentation and workflows
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project Primavera Procore or similar)
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on commercial residential or infrastructure projects
Knowledge of procurement and contract management processes
Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA or equivalent)
Certification such as PMP CAPM or Construction Management certification
