Summary:

Develop and revise military flight publications (Flight Manuals Operating Manuals Checklists Handbooks Weapons Manuals Weight & Balance)
Collect research and analyze engineering data and specifications
Lead development and maintenance of flight manuals checklists and crew procedures
Collaborate with SMEs (engineers technicians pilots flight test and publications teams)
Create and manage technical publication project plans budgets and schedules
Conduct peer reviews quality checks and validation of technical documentation
Interface directly with customers to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables
Develop logistics support data provisioning solutions and maintenance concepts
Analyze system reliability availability and operational performance to support maintenance planning

Requirements:

Bachelors degree with 6 years of related experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters 4 years or 10 years of experience)
5 years of experience with flight series publications (military or commercial derivative manuals)
Flight or flight training experience (pilot flight engineer or similar)
Proficiency working with flight manuals and technical publications
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings specifications and system documentation
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Word) and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
