About The Opportunities

Council is seeking two Administration Officers to join our Waste and Recycling Services team - one permanent fulltime role and one temporary fulltime role (May 2026 to March 2027).
As an Administration Officer you will provide essential administrative and customer service support to Councils Waste and Recycling Services team helping ensure smooth daily operations at the Bundaberg Waste Management Facility. Youll be the first point of contact for enquiries support accurate recordkeeping and financial processes and contribute to reliable service delivery for the community. Working in a fastpaced teamoriented environment your work will directly support safe efficient and sustainable waste services across the region.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

  • Experience in administration and customer service including cash handling and reception duties
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and data management systems with strong attention to detail
  • Sound time management skills and the ability to prioritise in a reactive environment
  • A positive teamfocused approach with a commitment to courteous service
  • A current C Class driver licence and the ability to meet Council compliance requirements
  • Experience with Waste Management / Authority software advantageous.
