As part of the Business Intelligence team this individual will play a crucial role in gathering requirements developing/maintaining data sets creating new reports and enhancing current reports. This position also involved the development and enhancement of in-house applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Integration and Modeling: Work closely with internal teams to design and implement datapipelines ensuring the efficient extraction transformation and loading (ETL) of data into the datawarehouse/lakehouse. Apply knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling tosupport this process.
- Reporting Solutions and Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and translate them into well-defined documentation and effective reporting solutions. Develop and optimize reports and dashboards that deliver accurate relevant and actionable insights aligned with organizational objectives.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize report dashboard and query performance to ensure fast reliable access to analytics.
- Data Analysis and Process Improvement: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends patterns and opportunities for process improvement. Use your problem-solving orientation to address data-related challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Data Quality and Governance: Support efforts to enhance data quality and uphold data governance processes. Work closely with teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues contributing to a robust and reliable data infrastructure.
- Stakeholder Support and Enablement: Provide training guidance and support to business users on BI tools dashboards and data best practices to enhance data literacy across the organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Data Science Computer Science Business Analytics Engineering).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and Python
- Proficiency in reporting applications Power Bl and Tableau
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms or services (e.g. Azure or AWS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
- Interdisciplinary insight to collaborate effectively with teams from various departments.
- Results-oriented mindset committed to delivering high-quality outputs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Will work in an office environment with minimal exposure to dust noise and other environmental hazards. May involve prolonged periods of sitting and frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse.
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Use of company vehicle on occasion. A successful Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required.
