About the Role

The client is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer / Systems Analyst to support the modernization of enterprise financial systems under the Florida PALM initiative.

This role focuses on transforming large-scale financial and operational data into actionable dashboards and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in dashboard development SQL IBM DB2 databases and financial reporting environments.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze current data environments and data structures for reporting optimization
Develop enterprise reporting and dashboard roadmaps
Convert existing reporting solutions into modern Power BI dashboards
Automate data transformation and reduce manual Excel-based analysis
Create Power BI dataflows reports and paginated reports
Develop SQL queries database views and stored procedures
Work with IBM DB2 and financial data systems
Translate WebFOCUS and Mainframe FOCUS queries into T-SQL
Support Power BI workspace administration
Train business users and finance teams on Power BI reporting tools
Collaborate with developers DBAs analysts and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree in Technology Finance Computer Science or related field
(Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree)

Experience

3 years of Business Intelligence experience
2 years developing dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI
Experience working with IBM DB2 databases
Strong SQL and data analysis skills
