Democratic Services Business Support Officer
Job Summary
We are looking to recruit a motivated well developed Democratic Services Business Support Officer who is reliable and can work well as part of a team.
The post-holder will carry out a range of administrative tasks that support both the Democratic Services team and the county council as a whole. This includes administering the councilsLocal Member Grants Schemeand providing important support to council meetings which involve county councillors senior officers and external stakeholders.
The role will involve all aspects of administrative duties within a busy team including:
Diary and meeting management
Maintaining and updating information systems accurately
Responding to and managing enquiries and correspondence with a range of stakeholders
Providing technical support including webcasting preparing agendas and taking minutes at meetings
Planning and organising tasks to meet deadlines
The post-holder will need to have excellent organisational communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and senior stakeholders.
Digital skills to support the wider team (using systems such as Microsoft Office and ) are important as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to a high standard.
Applicants must be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) and have experience of providing administrative support. Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details.
