Scrum Master - TS
Xcelerate Solutions is currently seeking a Scrum Master. As a Scum Master you will play a pivotal role supporting our federal client as our team designs architects and implements a secure application development environment (ADV) specifically engineered to accelerate the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) transformation. This environment will integrate automated security controls directly into the clients Continuous Delivery Pipeline and prioritize developer productivity and autonomy as well as enable Zero Trust architecture that scales across distributed teams without compromising the Lean-Agile mindset. Responsibilities:
- Execute Scrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile principles throughout the product lifecycle.
- Guide teams in Agile and SAFe methodologies reinforcing team norms supporting team commitments and facilitating progress toward sprint and PI objectives.
- Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups backlog refinement sprint planning sprint reviews retrospectives and user demonstrations.
- Identify track and remove impediments that block team progress escalating when necessary to maintain delivery momentum.
- Promote Agile quality practices continuous improvement and a culture of transparency collaboration and accountability.
- Support ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) and estimation activities helping teams size work and forecast delivery.
- Provide coaching feedback and actionable guidance to team members to improve Agile maturity and delivery performance.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure backlogs are welldefined prioritized and aligned with mission needs.
- Advise government stakeholders on incremental improvements that enhance product quality service delivery and process standardization.
- Foster alignment across distributed teams architects developers testers and security personnel to support integrated DevSecOps workflows.
- Monitor team performance metrics (velocity throughput predictability) and use data to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure team practices align with SAFe LeanAgile principles and organizational governance expectations.
- Support PI Planning preparation facilitation and execution.
- Coordinate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to ensure crossteam dependencies and risks are visible and managed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree applicable field of study
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator for technical delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum Kanban) and scaled delivery models (SAFe).
- Experience supporting software development teams including developers testers and product owners.
- Ability to identify and remove impediments manage team dynamics and foster a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication facilitation and stakeholderengagement skills.
- Ability to work onsite full time and collaborate with crossfunctional teams in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current SAFe Scrum Master / SAFe Advanced Scrum Master Certification
- Experience supporting federal systems ATO processes or compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with FedRAMP NIST 80053 or Zero Trust principles
- Experience working with DevSecOps teams or CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Agile tooling such as Jira Azure DevOps or Rally.
- Knowledge of Agile metrics flowbased delivery and continuous improvement techniques.
