Job Summary
Role Overview
Our Client is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to support enterprise-level BI and data initiatives within a large public sector environment.
This role combines business analysis data engineering and BI development working closely with stakeholders developers and data teams to deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead business analysis requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
- Translate business needs into data and technical solutions
- Develop and manage BI solutions using Power BI Cognos Oracle and SQL tools
- Design and implement ETL processes and data pipelines
- Support development testing release and production troubleshooting
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Create documentation including business cases data models and process flows
- 5 7 years experience as a Business Intelligence / Data-focused Business Analyst
- Strong expertise in:
- Power BI (Service Server report development)
- MS SQL Server
- ETL processes (SSIS daily job handling)
- Data analysis and data management
- Semantic data modeling
- Experience with:
- Release pipeline automation
- Deployment coordination with Dev Infra and Ops teams
- Power BI Cognos
- MS SQL Server Oracle
- SSIS Azure Data Factory
- Visual Framework
- Git / Azure DevOps
- Data warehousing & reporting tools
- Experience with cloud BI environments
- Knowledge of data governance and security (e.g. RBAC Azure AD)
- Familiarity with Agile Waterfall and SDLC methodologies
- Understanding of AODA standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience in stakeholder communication and requirement facilitation
- Track record of delivering BI and data solutions in complex environments
