Founded in 1976 CBM provides a practical combination of assurance taxation and advisory services for clients in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).

The Role

We offer

Comprehensive group benefit plan
This is a regular full-time position based on 40 hours of work per week (Monday-Friday) with extended hours during busy season (February to April)

You will

As a Tax Manager at CBM Chartered Accountants LLP you will play a key role in delivering innovative tax strategies and exceptional client service. Youll leverage your advanced understanding of Canadian tax legislation with the requirement of completing of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course in order to guide complex engagements ensure compliance and contribute to the continued growth of our firm.

Qualifications

The Candidate Must-Have Skills and Core Competencies

Completed CPA Designation
Minimum of 3-5 years of Public Accounting experience focusing heavily on tax
Completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course

Preferable Skills and Core Competencies

Tax research
Memo writing
Preparation of tax correspondence with legal counsel
Preparation/review of income tax election
Advanced knowledge of Canadian tax legislation and reporting standards
Demonstrated experience in managing complex tax provisions and ensuring compliance
Proficient in software such as TaxPrep and CCH iFirm.
Capable of handling administrative responsibilities and supporting additional prospective tasks as needed.

Interview Process
