Job Summary
Job Title: Locum - Physician - Interventional Cardiology

The facility is looking to expand its locum Interventional Cardiologist coverage pool to ensure continuous quality care. With a capacity of 250 beds and a collaborative team of experienced healthcare professionals you will be part of a community dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes and advancing cardiology practice.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient setting.
- Perform various interventional cardiology procedures including Balloon Angioplasties Coronary Angioplasty and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI).
- Manage medical treatments for vascular diseases and conduct heart catheterizations.
- Coordinate care with other interventional cardiologists present during locum coverage.
- Participate in the call schedule aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage.
- Document patient interactions using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Adhere to a flexible schedule including weekdays and weekend on-call shifts.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology (REQUIRED)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (REQUIRED)
- Active Virginia state medical license (REQUIRED)
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (REQUIRED)
- Clean malpractice history (REQUIRED)
License and Certification Requirements:
