Responsibilities

Assist in the management of patients in cardiothoracic and vascular surgical settings
Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments
Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare teams to develop treatment plans
Conduct patient education and counseling regarding surgical procedures
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Participate in surgical procedures as directed by supervising physicians
Stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical techniques

Requirements

Associate degree or higher in Physician Assistant studies
Active PA license in the state of Wisconsin
Experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery preferred
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-5p

1:5 weekday and weekend call rotation

Duties: Endoharvesting of veins and radial arteries first-assist and postoperative management and consults

Support Staff: Surgeons inpatient PAs clinic NP nurses

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
