About the Role
Working with the relevant Lead Engineer The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems procedures and equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment working to set timelines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan co-ordinate and implement the most efficient and cost-effective production methods required to manufacture major sub-components and completed machines.
- Co-ordination of Production Engineering and Quality Assurance Departments to establish/implement containment and route cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
- Implementing best practice standard work onto shop floor
- Build/Drawing pack creation & maintenance in conjunction with Engineering Change Orders & New Product Development.
- Liaise with cross functional departments e.g. supply chain engineering quality
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles including Line Balance 5S Poke Yoke
- Ensure current processes and all new processes encompass safe working practices
- Production support to the Manufacturing Department
- Problem Solving

About you
- Minimum HNC / HND Engineering Qualification or demonstrate extensive relevant knowledge through on job experience.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) would be advantageous
- Competent in use of Microsoft packages
- Experience of 3D modelling software would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Knowledge of Machine Shop and Fabrication would be advantageous
- Excellent multi-tasking & attention to detail skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good organisational skills
- Logical & Methodical approach to problem solving
- Ability to work with others to meet deadlines
