Job Summary
Progesys Inc. is a recognized firm offering complete solutions for project management and transition to operations. The company has been based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States the Middle East Asia and in South America.
Progesys is looking for a Mechanical Coordinator for a mining project in Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate mechanical activities related to rotating equipment and piping systems throughout all project phases from planning to commissioning.
- Ensure alignment between engineering procurement and construction activities to meet project scope schedule and quality objectives.
- Review technical documents (drawings specifications models) to ensure compliance with project requirements and client standards.
- Act as a key interface between clients engineering teams contractors and vendors to ensure effective communication and execution.
- Support the definition and clarification of project scope deliverables and technical requirements with stakeholders.
- Monitor site activities conduct field inspections and ensure work is executed in accordance with design safety and quality standards.
- Provide coordination support during construction pre-commissioning and commissioning phases including QA/QC follow-up and issue resolution.
- Assist the project management team with planning scheduling and progress tracking of mechanical work.
- Contribute to cost control by supporting estimates tracking budgets and participating in bid evaluations and contractor selection.
Identify risks and proactively support mitigation strategies related to mechanical scope.
Required Skills
- Mechanical or industrial engineering / technician degree or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in mechanical planning and maintenance.
- Experience in the Mining sector is required
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal relationship management skills.
- Ability to work in rotation schedules and remote (camp) environments.
