Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Critical Care Nurse Educator to join our Divisional Learning and Development this role you will be responsible for the delivery assessment and evaluation of Learning and Development programs that reflect bestpractice standards and support excellence in service.
The Critical Care Unit at Berwick comprises 6 ICU/HDU beds and 10 cardiac beds providing care across a broad range of specialties including orthopaedics general surgery general medicine oncology and diagnostic and interventional cardiology.
This position is 30 hours per fortnight worked Monday to Friday on day shift with opportunities for flexibility in shift hours.
The Position
Works collaboratively with Department Managers and relevant stakeholders.
In collaboration with the L&D team identifies educational needs through a variety of means (i.e. needs assessment framework) that are aligned with strategic and operational planning risk management strategy and organisational and local policy.
Uses adult learning principles when facilitating learning.
Delivers assesses and evaluates local learning impact of programs in accordance with standardised models to ensure that outcomes are achieved.
Provides mentoring coaching and support to caregivers through experiential learning and assists other members of the team to undertake the same.
Participate in student supervision (undergraduate and postgraduate) as directed
Collaborates with a range of health professionals to promote a multidisciplinary approach to learning.
Promotes a positive and inclusive workplace learning environment facilitating programs and activities using blended a learning approach.
You will hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and possess a minimum of five years Critical Care clinical experience. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and mentoring skills enabling you to effectively engage with and support a diverse workforce.
To succeed in this role you will have strong conflict resolution negotiation and problemsolving abilities combined with sound timemanagement and organisational skills. You will also demonstrate a solid understanding of adult learning principles quality improvement accreditation and licensing processes as well as working knowledge of Learning Management Systems blended learning strategies and a range of computer applications.

We can offer you
Salary: $117134 to $123300 (pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation
Permanent part time contract working up to 30 hours a fortnight.
