Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical Stepdown / Telemetry
Location: Cincinnati OH
Assignment Details:
- Duration: 8 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical Stepdown/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment critical thinking and the ability to manage cardiac and complex medical patients in a fast-paced high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care
- Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications IV therapy and blood products
- Educate patients and support discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Follow established nursing standards and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Stepdown or Telemetry experience
- Strong cardiac monitoring and acute care skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-acuity setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Previous leadership experience (Charge Nurse Preceptor etc.)
Education
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN License (State or Compact) Required
- BLS (AHA) Required
- ACLS (AHA) Required
