Job Description:
As a Project Manager you will lead interoperability and data modernization initiatives that support database migration and ongoing operations across multiple data environments. You will oversee planning execution and evaluation of projects that enhance secure and efficient data exchange among healthcare public health and community partners. This role requires strong leadership stakeholder engagement and disciplined project management to ensure successful delivery while meeting regulatory and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project stand up meetings coordinate project activities and deliver clear status updates to executive stakeholders.
- Develop manage and maintain detailed project plans timelines budgets and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure alignment accountability and successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve interoperability and data exchange objectives.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and develop effective communication strategies.
- Monitor project performance and prepare progress reports for leadership and funding stakeholders.
- Identify project risks issues and barriers and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and security regulations.
- Support adoption of interoperability tools workflows and best practices.
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience within public health healthcare IT or similar regulated environments.
- Experience managing database related initiatives and understanding data interoperability concepts.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft server environments specifically Microsoft SQL Server.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical and project information effectively to executive level stakeholders.
- Experience developing and managing project plans schedules and budgets.
- Familiarity with health data standards and public health information systems.
- Experience working with Agile and or Waterfall project methodologies.
- Strong servant leader mindset with the ability to empower and motivate teams.
- Excellent analytical organizational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage high pressure timelines while maintaining transparency and predictability.
- Bachelors degree in Public Health Health Informatics or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Project management certification such as PMP or CAPM.
- Experience working with Oracle database technologies or environments.
- Masters degree in Public Health Health Informatics or a related discipline.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
