A vacancy has arisen for a Warrant Officer (Intelligence Int An / Int An L) to serve as the Squadron Warrant Officer on 7006 Squadron RAuxAF at RAF Waddington on Part Time Volunteer Reserve (PTVR)Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 02 September 2026. (or earlier dependant on successful candidates circumstances).
In accordance with AP3392 Vol 7 Part 2 Chap 6 the post is also open for applicants to apply on the alternative TCOS of VeRR (90 days). Applicants are requested to make their TCOS preference clear in their application covering letter for review during the selection process. Applicants for alternative TCOS should state how the role could be delivered on their preferred TCOS for consideration by the selection board.
This post will occupy a key position in 7006 Squadrons executive team and will be responsible to the OC for the discipline and personal standards of all aviators and officers on the squadron as well as the other key outputs listed below.
Specific responsibilities of the Sqn WO include:
a. Ensure Squadron standards and discipline are maintained at all times.
b. Act as the Squadron Welfare Officer and lead on all welfare activity.
c. When assigned by the Squadron OC undertake duties relating to the co-ordination and management of intelligence tasking in support of operations engaging with external stakeholders and customers as appropriate.
d. Support the squadron executive team in the maintenance of the squadrons establishment.
e. Lead on the CLM professional development of all Sqn personnel.
f. Work with other WOs and SNCOs across the Intelligence Reserves Wing including the Wing WO to establish and support the pan-Wing development of personnel and intelligence output.
g. Ensure compliance with appraisal and reporting requirements (e.g. SJAR MPAR) ensuring timely completion across the squadron and driving improvements where appropriate.
