Description ESF Centre is recruiting for a Senior Project and Facilities Manager (Coordination) to join the team who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful delivery of capital projects as well as repair and maintenance works across the school portfolio.
This role combines end-to-end project delivery and facilities management leadership with a crossfunctional coordination responsibility strengthening collaboration among architectural building services and quality assurance functions alongside project management and facilities management delivery clusters. The position is accountable for delivering projects and maintenance works on time within budget and to the required quality and statutory standards while embedding consistent design quality assurance and facilities operations practices throughout the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead initial and ongoing consultation with end-users as the single point of contact between end-users in-house project team
members consultants and contractors providing technical advice and developing project briefs that clearly articulate objectives and scope. - Plan and implement capital projects alteration & addition works renovation projects and repair and maintenance works to achieve time cost and quality objectives in accordance with ESF standard and applicable statutory requirements.
- Manage technical design development process by coordinating input from in-house functional teams and multi-disciplinary
consultants to deliver high quality designs in accordance with ESF Design Standards. - Undertake day to day management and coordinating with functional teams multi-disciplinary consultants contractors schools and government authorities throughout all project and operation phases.
- Ensure effective internal coordination across projects and facilities management functions including health safety & sustainability education human resources finance communications and admissions to ensure that project deliverables and FM objectives are achieved.
- Conduct regular site inspections from construction through to final handover resolving site issues and monitoring contractor
workmanship. - Manage the material and work quality inspections testing and commissioning in collaboration with functional teams consultants
and contractors to ensure the works delivered are in good quality. - Manage procurement and tendering processes for appointing multi-disciplinary consultants and contractors.
- Review and recommend payments for consultants and contractors.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations to the Head of Projects and the Director of Facilities.
- Maintain complete on-site records to support effective cost control and final account reconciliation.
- Oversee project close out from the owners perspective including handover and snagging ensuring full sets of as-built drawings
O&M manuals and warranty documentation are in place and in order. - Establish and implement preventive maintenance plans across schools to ensure long-term asset reliability compliance and
safety. - Efficiently manage ad hoc repair and maintenance requests to minimise disruption to teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with school end-users to align facilities management practices with educational delivery needs ensuring safe sustainable and high quality learning environments.
- Perform other duties and assume accountabilities as required or delegated.
