We are actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Peer support specialist to join our team full-time. This role is essential to our mission providing therapy crisis support and service coordination for mental health clients in a variety of settings. As a Peer support specialist with Carolina Outreach you will provide structured and scheduled activities for adults age 18 and older with MH/SA disability.

Our comprehensive range of services include school-based therapy outpatient treatment psychiatric evaluations community support and substance use services.

Position Description:

• Assist program participants in the development of skills confidence and relationships as they resume
  independent living.
• Assisting consumers in articulating personal goals for recovery.
• Provide direct peer counseling based on your own lived experiences.
• Help participants understand and employ recovery strategies.
• Assisting consumers in determining the objectives the consumers needs to take in order to reach their recovery goals.
• Assisting with setting up self-help groups.

Location: Supply NC

Compensation: $16.89 - $18.22/ hourly

*Final compensation is determined by factors such as education licensure level experience and other qualifications.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completed a recognized Peer Support Training Program Completion Certificate
• Valid Drivers License and proof of current car insurance
